We will be live-streaming thought-provoking interviews bi-weekly with leading Rabbis and scholars who will share their insight, experiences, research and anecdotes relating to all facets of this remarkable topic.

Rav Shabtai served as the head of the Beit Midrash at Bar-Ilan University, and started “Forum Nitzotzot”, which pairs Torah and halachic figures with scientists in different fields.
Rav Shabtai is a descendant of a prominent Rabbinic family including the Shach, the Kotzker Rebbe and the Shem Mishmuel. He is the son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Tendler and grand-son-in-law of Rav Moshe Feinstein (three volumes of the responsa Iggros Moshe were edited by Rav Shabtai).
This first interview will be in English, and we plan to alternate between Hebrew and English moving forward.

שימש כראש בית המדרש של המכון הגבוה לתורה באוניברסיטת בר-אילן, והקים את פורום ניצוצות, שמפגיש דמויות תורניות והלכתיות עם מדענים בתחומים שונים.
הרב שבתי הוא נצר למשפחת רבנים מיוחסת הכוללת את הש”ך, האדמו”ר מקוצק וה”שם משמואל”. אישתו רבקה היא בתו של הרב משה טנדלר, מראשי ה”ישיבה יוניברסיטי” וחתנו של הרב משה פיינשטיין. הרב שבתי ערך חלק מכתבי הרב פיינשטיין, ובכלל זה שלושה מכרכי השו”ת “אגרות משה” וחלק מספרי “דברות משה” על התלמוד.
