Ptil Tekhelet Educational Center

in memory of Steven Esses ז”ל

Innovation in Jewish Education

Steven believed that Tekhelet could be an excellent vehicle for innovative Jewish education, presenting an integrated view of Torah, Science, History, and so many other disciplines. He felt that Tekhelet could inspire young and old and breathe new life into the performance of all mitzvot.

He envisioned an educational center, using state-of-the-art technology and interactive methods to engage children and adults alike.

Steven saw in Tekhelet a deep connection to the Land of Israel. He observed a parallel between the reestablishment of this mitzvah, lost for over a thousand years, and the Jewish people’s return to the land.

Ptil Tekhelet and the Esses family are proud to name the Educational Center in Steven’s memory as a fitting tribute to his dream of building bridges between past, present and future and between all of the people of our precious nation who are finally coming home.
